Customer Address Verification is a required step by law and compliance for all financial institutions. Ensuring you have the right address on record does not only help prevent fraudulent users - it also guarantees that your customers receive key communications via post, such as bank cards. 

Most banks validate addresses by cross-checking them with their own or 3rd party database.  However this won’t be enough in most cases: if there’s an issue with an address these solutions will only tell you that something is wrong,  but they won’t tell you why it’s wrong. They will also only validate the fields provided by the customer at sign-up stage but won’t tell you which fields are missing.
