About the role

Hybrid Role (must be based in London or able to travel daily to London)

As a Customer Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, support, and guidance to our clients throughout their journey of utilizing Google Maps and Google Cloud services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful integration, configuration, and optimization of Google Maps and Google Cloud tools to meet the unique needs and goals of our diverse client base. You will work closely with our sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing customer success.


  • Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, assisting them in resolving technical issues related to Google Maps and Google Cloud technologies. Respond promptly to inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and provide effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Implementation and Integration: Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and objectives. Guide them through the implementation and integration process of Google Maps and Google Cloud technologies into their existing systems, applications, and infrastructure.

  • Customization and Optimization: Work closely with clients to identify opportunities for customization and optimization of their solutions. Provide expert advice on best practices, performance improvements, and configuration options to maximize the value of the technologies.

  • Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training sessions to educate clients on the features, functionalities, and capabilities of Google Maps and Google Cloud technologies. Create comprehensive documentation to aid in knowledge sharing and self-service support.

  • Proactive Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders to understand their evolving needs and challenges. Proactively identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding the usage of our services to drive customer success.

  • Product Feedback: Collect and relay valuable feedback from clients to our product and engineering teams to continuously improve the offerings and enhance the overall customer experience.

  • Stay Up-to-date with Technology: Stay current with the latest advancements in Google Maps and Google Cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Apply this knowledge to stay ahead of customer needs and maintain a competitive edge.


  •     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  •     Proven experience in technical customer support, software development, or system integration roles.

  •     Strong understanding of Google Maps APIs, Google Cloud Platform services, and related technologies.

  •     Understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for customization and automation tasks.

  •     Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.

  •     Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

  •     Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

  •     Passion for technology and enthusiasm for helping clients succeed with innovative solutions

  •     Ability to travel domestically and internationally to meet clients & prospects
