The Bondi2Berry Ride to Remember is taking place on Saturday 15 November and it’s the 10 year anniversary ride. Over 300 riders and event crew are participating in the 155km ride from Bondi Beach through the Royal National Park to Wollongong, Kiama and finishing in Berry.
We are a proud sponsor of this great event and support the Dementia Research Community charity to help raise awareness and fundraise for a cure for dementia.
Dementia has recently been announced as the leading cause of death for all Australians. There are currently 433,000 Australians with dementia and this number will increase to 1 million by 2065 without a breakthrough in research.
Chances are you have a personal connection to dementia, either through direct family or friends. More needs to be done to help raise awareness and it’s the Dementia Research Community’s mission to break the stigma, start conversations and help fund research.
Starting in 2016 the Bondi2Berry ride and Dementia Research Community charity continue to fundraise for a cure for dementia and this year hope to raise over $250,000 which will directly fund research. As a voluntary not for profit charity, all funds raised go directly to the researcher.
